PVC/APET Laminated Rigid Sheet
PVC/APET laminated rigid sheet bonds a PVC forming layer to an APET surface layer, combining the thermoforming and sealing behaviour of PVC with the gloss, stiffness and print quality of APET. It is used where a high-visibility pack must also form deeply and seal reliably, such as high-clarity blisters, medical device trays and premium cosmetics packaging.

Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about PVC/APET Laminated Rigid Sheet — specifications, usage, and compliance
The combination uses PVC for reliable deep forming and sealing behaviour while the APET surface provides gloss, stiffness and print quality. Packs that must both form deeply and present well on shelf are the main application.
Sealing is normally against the PVC face, so standard PVC-compatible heat seal lacquers apply. For packs sealed on the APET face, the lidding lacquer must be matched to APET and verified on your line.
Up to 22mm is achievable depending on total thickness and cavity geometry. Deep draws should be confirmed with a line trial before commercial ordering.
Yes. The PVC to APET ratio can be adjusted to trade off forming behaviour, stiffness and surface appearance within the standard total thickness range.
The APET surface accepts flexo and gravure printing and is suitable for solvent, UV and water-based inks subject to print trials on your equipment.

Recyclable Blister Packaging Under the EU PPWR: What to Specify Now
The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation pushes blister packs toward design-for-recycling, but recyclability depends on the material stream, the lidding and the collection scheme in each market. This note sets out how PVC, PVC/PVDC, PVC/APET laminates, APET and RPET sit against those requirements, and the specification points worth fixing before tooling and validation.
