Preventing Scuffing and Haze in High-Clarity Rigid Film

A high-clarity film only delivers its clarity if the finished pack keeps it.

Where clarity is lost

• Scuffing from nested stacking and handling
• Forming haze caused by drawing outside the material's temperature window
• Surface marking where tools contact the sheet

Countermeasures

• Select a grade with a protective surface for packs that are handled repeatedly
• Optimise forming temperature rather than forcing draw depth
• Keep print and inspection zones away from high-contact areas
